Here's what realistic-looking Pixar characters would look like

American digital artist Nathan Shipley combined art with artificial intelligence in his recent AI / GAN project, which recreates live-action character models , paintings, or historical figures.

Nathan uses a special program in which similar faces are searched from an image with machine learning (GAN). This learning network, fed with characteristics of more than 70 thousand human faces, is called SyleGAN and can generate new human faces

that do not really exist but do look very realistic.

Nathan loves to recreate historical figures that no one has photographs of, like the Mona Lisa, for example. These images can give us an idea of what it actually looked like. On the other hand, he also likes to work with Pixar characters, but the results are quite a case: people either love them or they can seem a little creepy.
